September 5th is the date that Mother Teresa died and the date that she was beatified. The MC´s in Comayagua prepare a nice celebration and invite all the poor people that they work with, benefactors, co-workers, etc. Hundreds of people come and celebrate. The celebration begings with Mass. This year the Bishop was not able to come so FR. Juan Diego from the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal said Mass. It was a very nice homily. Adam and I brought the wine and water to the altar during the ofertory. Maria Teresa slep through almost the whole Mass, which was nice since we were actually able to sit down and listen.
After Mass Father Juan Diego was holding a relic of Mother Teresa and everyone could come and make a reverence, or give a kis, or just look at it.
The sisters prepared a dance with some of the mountain girls.
They also made a drama about Mother Teresa´s life. This was suppose to be Mother Teresa´s baptism.
After the drama food was given to everyone.
It was a very nice celebration!
