http://familiahinckley.blogspot.com/ Michelle tagged me and I thought it was a good idea to continue this chain of people telling about themselves. It is a good way to stop and think about yourself.
First, the rules: For this meme, each player lists 8 facts/habits about themselves. The rules of the game are posted at the beginning before those facts/habits are listed. At the end of the post, the player then tags 8 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know that they have been tagged and asking them to read your blog.
1. Love to cook! I enjoy a lot to cook and to bake. I love to make cakes, cookies and other desserts. If there is a family reunion at my parents house I am the one in charge of bringing the dessert.
2. Plan ahead too much (according to my husband). Normally I plan 6 months or 1 year ahead. A funny story of my planning too much is when I went to the US Embassy to ask for a visa, during the interview they asked me how long was I planning to stay in the US and my answer was "15 work days", and the guy looked at me wierd probably thinking: she has dates and everything and hasn´t even got the visa yet.
3. No time to rest / always finding something to do. Adam says that I need to learn how to rest because I don´t know what that is like. It is true, I hate to have an unorganized house or things sitting in the floor everywhere, which means that if I am at home I am cleaning, organizing, cleaning a mess. With a baby that loves to be in the floor and discover new things it hard to keep everything in perfect order. I know I need to slow down sometimes.
4. Love to Cross-stitch. During my first year of college I had a serious problem with my lungs. They were so full of junk that the doctor even said "how do you breath!?" So I had to be inside the house for several months because I couldn´t be inplaces where there is dust. In Honduras there is dust EVERYWHERE! So, I had to find something that I could do at home and that would entertain me for hours. Cross-stitch was the solution! Now I do some things when I have time, but not as much as I would like to.
5. Love shoes. I am a women, I think every girl loves shoes. I like to go shoppping for shoes, not as much for clothe. I really don´t care much about clothe, but I love shoes. I´ve worked since I was in High school tutoring kids, but in my first serious job after college I used to buy like at least 2 pairs of shoes per month. It´s crazy! but are the kind of things that you do when you just got a well paid job and no family to take care of. Then I realized it was crazy so now what I do is that if I get a new pair I have to give one away to someone that needs it.
6. Action more than words! Normally I don´t talk too much, but I do a lot of things. This is one of the biggest differences with my husband he loves to talk and talk and talk, and I only talk when needed or when I need to say something. I am getting better at talking more about things. In my family growing up there was not much communication, so I guess that has something to do with it.
7. Love and Admire MOTHER THERESA. She is my HERO! This is one of the topics I could write and talk A LOT, but you all know her and probably feel the same way. My daugther Maria Teresa is a miracle through her intercesion!
8. I don´t like very many vegetables. I am a meat and potatos person. I eat vegetables if served but is not something that I am dying to eat.
I tagged two guys. I know guys may not continue this MEME but all the girls I know that have a blog have already been tagged. http://andrewpocta.blogspot.com/ and www.jpstengel.blogspot.com/
